FORMER UP MAROONS MANZO, MURELL SUBMIT APPLICATION FOR PBA ROOKIE DRAFT
More talents will bring depth to the long list of PBA aspirants as Jun Manzo and David Murell add their names to the loaded draft pool.
Manzo suited up for the University of Visayas before committing to the University of the Philippines (UP) for three years.
He took charge of the Fighting Maroons in Season 81 where they landed on the runner-up spot following Ateneo.
As for his last season with the Diliman-based squad, the 23-year old chipped in 8.4 points, 4.0 assists, and 3.5 rebounds during Season 82.
Manzo had a brief stint with Alberei Kings in the 2019 PBA D-League Foundation Cup.
He also dawned the jersey of Zamboanga Family’s Brand Sardines in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) posting 3.2 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in 9.4 minutes in his nine games during the Lakan Cup.
Murell, on the other hand, suited up for UP Fighting Maroons for two years after his stint with Cypress Junior College in 2017.
The 6-foot-4 forward scored an average of 1.79 points and 1.93 rebounds in 9.35 minutes in his second year with UP.
With Murell turning 25 years old on November 8, he will not be eligible to play in the UAAP.
Submission of applications for the PBA Draft will be until January 27.
