According to the statement released by the league’s independent medical consultant Dr. Butch Ong, all 58 players that were tested last October 17, 2020 at Inspire Academy in Calamba resulted in negative for COVID-19

In addition, 122 league officials, staff, and essential workers needed in the Calambubble were also tested.

“Of the 58 players tested for COVID 19 on the Chooks to Go 3×3 in Inspire Sports Academy Calamba, since the results were released on October 17, none have returned as confirmed positive,” Dr. Butch Ong said.

“The 2020 Chooks to Go Pilipinas 3×3 President’s Cup will therefore commence on October 21 at 1:00 pm,” the physician from UP Science and Society Program added.

The first batch of teams arrived at the Inspire Academy in Calamba, Laguna last Wednesday which includes Family’s Brand Sardines-Zamboanga City Chooks, Uling Roasters-Butuan City, Bacolod Master Sardines, Nueva Ecija Rice Vanguards, Palayan City Capitals, Big Boss Cement-Porac MSC Green Gorillas, and Pasig-Sta. Lucia Realtors.

Followed by other teams on the next day that consists of Zamboanga Peninsula Valientes MLV, Pagadian City-Rocky Sports, Petra Cement-Roxas City ZN Rockies, Sarangani Marlins, and Bicol Paxful 3×3 Pro.

It was announced that on Monday a preseason tourney will be held three days before the official commencement of the league.

The subsequent legs will kick off on October 23, 25, and 27.

The Grand Finals, topped with a 1 million grand prize, is scheduled on October 30, 2020.
