TNT Tropang Giga, Meralco Bolts, Sista Super Sealers, and the Purefoods TJ Titans have been hailed as champions of the previous 3X3 but it was Appmasters today who toppled the best teams.

Brandon Rosser made the final point to clinch the title as he scored a dunk over Lervin Flores and followed by a late basket.

The team brought home P100,000 prize money all due to Rosser’s five points, Napoles and Caduyac’s four points apiece, and a point from Hayes.

As the new champion, Appmasters had a challenging journey as they edged out Platinum Karaoke in the quarterfinals, 15-14; and in the semifinals, they defeated Meralco, 20-14.

Prior to the finals game, TNT, who would receive  P50,000, defeated San Miguel, 21-14, and Barangay Ginebra, 21-10, to reach the knockout stage after an initial 0-2 record in Pool C.

In the quarterfinals, the Tropang Giga also won two games in a row after dominating Purefoods, 14-10, and Terrafirma in the semis, 21-17, and made the finals once again.

Dhon Reverente, TH Tumalip, Matt Salem, and Jebb Bulawan of Terrafirma settled for third place and P30,000 after pouncing on the undermanned Meralco, 21-10.
