THE BEGINNING TOWARDS CHANGING LIVES

/ 13 August 2021

The month of July opened a new era for the Rotary International. All Rotarians, Rotaractors, and Interactors gladly welcomed the Rotary Year (RY) 2021 to 2022.

The Interact Club of La Consolacion College (IAC LCC) – Metro Bacolod was one of the Interact Clubs who joined the said celebration. The club is under the supervision of the Rotary Club of Metro Bacolod and is one of the active clubs in District 3850.

The Transform RY 2020 to 2021 was headed by their Transform President, Lyka M. Campillan. Despite the on-going pandemic, Campillan’s leadership made the club bring home prestigious awards and recognitions.

“I’ve learned many things during my term. Before I became the President, I didn’t expect that I would encounter the pandemic as I entered the office. It was challenging for me to conduct projects and activities during my term, especially that I am used to conducting them physically. However, with the help and support of my peers, I was able to put in place initiatives that would benefit the people in our community. With that experience, I recognized the importance of teamwork. We have survived the Transform Rotary Year despite the existence of the pandemic. My experience and journey molded me into a stronger and better individual.” said Campillan

With the start of the Life Changing Rotary Year 2021 to 2022, a new president accepted the challenge to serve the student body and the community during these trying times.

Chelsea S. Lozada is now the Life Changing President of the IAC LCC – Metro Bacolod. She and her team kicked off the new RY with a fellowship and game night via Google Meeting.

“I’m excited to start my journey as the Life Changing President for this Life Changing Year of the Rotary! I’m looking forward for the new things that I’ll experience and learn during my term.” said Lozada

The IAC LCC – Metro Bacolod continues to work together as a team. They hope to become a bearer of hope and compassion during these critical times and be able to serve by changing lives.
