PSAU LAUNCHES RADIO STATION, FACILITIES FOR FARMERS, FISHERMEN’S’ USE
THE PAMPANGA State Agricultural University launched its very own radio station and Information Communication Technology Research Development in an effort to help locals involved in farming and fishing.
PSAU Radio Station Manager Mr. Angelo Zapatos said the station aims to “serve as a learning platform for the farmers and fisherfolks in giving helpful information about modern technology.”
The radio station is named ”DWEE 107.1 FM ‘D’ ANI KITA.”
The ICT RD, on the other hand, was established to bridge communities and technologies.
Department of Agriculture Secretary Dr. William Dar was also present during the ceremony Friday along with PSAU President Dr. Honorio Soriano and other officials.
Dar noted the importance of universities in helping farmers and fisherfolks.
“Malaki ang ginagampanan ng PSAU at ng iba’t ibang mga unibersidad at kolehiyo sa buong bansa. Sisiguraduhin naming patuloy ang pagtutok sa pananaliksik at pakikipag-ugnayan sa mga kagawaran ng pagsasaka, upang maibigay ang pangangailangan ng mga mangingisda at magsasaka pagdating sa impormasyon ng panibagong teknolohiya,” DAR said on an interview at the station.
