MBHTE TURNS OVER NEW SCHOOL
THE MINISTRY of Basic, Higher and Technical Education recently turned over a new flagship school building at Parangbasak National High School in Lamitan City, Basilan.
The project worth P22.1 million was funded under the 2020 Special Development Fund.
MBHTE Deputy Minister Haron Meling reiterated the ministry’s commitment to resolve the shortage of school facilities in the autonomous region.
“This is the first time that the beautiful island of Basilan received this type of building,” Meling said.
On the other hand, a new two-story school building with four classrooms will be constructed at the Mohammad Integrated School in Cotabato City.
The groundbreaking ceremony was held earlier this month. It was funded under the 2022 General Appropriations Act of the Bangsamoro.
“While working on the infrastructure projects, the Ministry is also exerting rigorous efforts to fast track the hiring processes,” MBHTE Minister Mohagher Iqbal said.
