GOV’T HOLDS VAX DRIVE FOR KIDS IN BAGUIO CITY
TO ENSURE the safe opening of face-to-face classes, officials of the National Task Force Against Covid19 and the Department of Health led a vaccination drive in Baguio City over the weekend.
More than 2.3 million children below 11 years old and 9.9 million minors aged 12 to 17 nationwide have so far been vaccinated against Covid19.
Dr. Amelita Pangilinan, DOH Cordillera Administrative Region regional director, reported that 13,485 kids aged 5 to 11 in Baguio City have received the first dose while 8,875 or 18.90% are now fully vaccinated.
Last week, the Department of Education, United States Agency for International Development and DoH launched the national BIDA Kid Covid19 prevention campaign to support the safe expansion of face-to-face classes nationwide.
The government aims to vaccinate more than 39 million youngsters aged 17 and below.
