DPWH COMPLETES CONSTRUCTION OF SCHOOL BUILDINGS IN LA UNION
STUDENTS of the Corrooy Elementary School in Santol, La Union will have a surprise waiting for them when physical classes resume: a new school building.
The Department of Public Works and Highways recently finished the construction of the school building that will serve more than a hundred students.
DPWH-1 regional public information officer Esperanza Tinaza said that the new school building will be used once face-to-face classes are allowed.
“The new school building will provide a safer environment for students to learn better and more effectively as compared to when studying at the old structure and its worn out facilities,” she said.
The DPWH Samar First District Engineering Office also turned over a two-storey, four-classroom building to the Inoraguiao Elementary School.
The building is equipped with a fire alarm system, fire extinguisher, automatic water sprinklers, fire escape, PWD ramp access, and restrooms.
