THE ISABELA State University received a P500,000 grant from the Department of Science and Technology-Region 2 for having the most submitted Intellectual Property Rights applications.
The applications were submitted during the 1st Regional Research and Development Caravan.
A total of 647 of the more than 1,098 applications came from ISU.
Vice President for Planning Dr. John Cabansag said the feat can be attributed to President Dr. Ric Aquino’s leadership as ISU ventures to become a research university.
Cabansag added its engagement with DOST-02 will continue as it is ‘powerful in escalating the status of the region, and the country in general.”
The university also plans to file one thousand IPR applications in two years, in line with its EINSTEIN 1K.
