THE DEPARTMENT of Information and Communications Technology has provided the Nueva Vizcaya State University access to free wifi for its constituents.

A ceremonial activation was conducted on Tuesday attended by officials and executives of NVSU and DICT.

Students, employees and other personnel of NVSU’s Bayombong and Bambang campuses will have access to free wifi.

The initiative is brought through the joint effort of the DICT and the United Nations Development Programme, under the Connectivity, Capability, and Reliency through Free Wi-Fi for All Project.

“As we forge this partnership with DICT and UNDP, we implore everyone to maximize this opportunity of exploring new information and increase collaboration with one another,” NVSU President Dr. Ruth Raña Padilla said on the university’s Facebook page.

“Hopefully, with this partnership, let us enhance the delivery of quality education to our students, solving perennial problems of slow connectivity. Let us work together and unlock the full potential the Internet has for education,” she added.
