THE DEPARTMENT of Education Caraga Region welcomes Dr. Maria Ines Asuncion, CESO IV, as its new regional director.

Asuncion will be supervising and monitoring DepEd programs, projects, and activities involving private schools nationwide and abroad.

Asuncion assured she would continue and support the existing programs and projects laid out in the Regional Education Development Plan and ensure the attainment of set goals and objectives for the region.

Asuncion also expressed her appreciation for the opportunity to lead DepEd Caraga.

The new RD underscored her commitment to advancing inclusive and learner-centered education, encouraging stakeholder engagement, and supporting teachers and school administrators in pursuing educational excellence.

Meanwhile, Dr. Gemma Mercado Ledesma, CESO III, former RD, will be Director IV in the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Field Operations, supervising regional operations in the Private Education Office.
