PHILIPPINE National Police chief Guillermo Eleazar commended the policemen of Santa Cruz, Davao del Sur who donated medals for the graduation of day care pupils.

Eleazar said that policemen of the Revitalized-Pulis sa Barangay in Barangay Saliducon turned over 25 medals to teacher Mayra Umaya Lopez of the Saliducon Daycare Center.

The police personnel donated the medal because they wanted to instill the benefits of hard work and dedication on the children.

Teachers and parents also expressed gratitude for the policemen’s gesture.

Eleazar said the simple donation can inspire and develop the students’ love for learning.

“Labas man sa tungkulin ng pulis ang pagbibigay ng medalya, ginawa pa rin ito ng ilang personnel sa Barangay Saliducon upang iparamdam sa mga kabataan na suportado nila ang tagumpay ng isang estudyante sa paaralan,” Eleazar said.

“Mga magulang din kaming pulis. Nakatataba ng puso para sa amin na makitang nagsusumikap ang isang bata sa paaralan kaya nararapat lamang na kilalanin ito,” he added.
