AFP FIRM: CHAD BOOC INVOLVED WITH REBELS
THE ARMED Forces of the Philippines remains firm in its stand that volunteer teacher Chad Booc and four others died in a gunfight in New Bataan, Davao de Oro.
Col. Ramon Zagala, AFP spokesperson, said in an interview with ANC that they will present New People Army’s surrenderees who will testify that Booc is part of the rebel group.
Zagala claimed that Booc and his companions were armed during the encounter and that the military operation that killed the teacher was legitimate.
He added that the military will cooperate with any investigation regarding the matter.
The Save Our Schools Network insisted that Booc and his companions were massacred and that they are not involved with the New People’s Army.
