440 SCHOOLS IN CENTRAL VISAYAS READY FOR PHYSICAL CLASSES
SOME 440 schools in Central Visayas are ready for the expansion of the limited face-to-face classes next year, an official of the Department of Education said.
Salustiano Jimenez, DepEd Region 7 director, said that in-person classes will continue next year.
“There were no issues that were not addressed. Around 440 schools all throughout Central Visayas are ready for the expansion come January. We will possibly conclude (the classes), but it doesn’t mean we will stop. We will continue with expansion in grade school levels or high schools,” he said.
Jimenez reported that the conduct of physical classes in one private school and eight public schools in the region was successful.
No problems were encountered in the said schools, he said.
Education Secretary Leonor Briones said that the pilot limited face-to-face classes will be concluded on December 31, 2021.
