TWO schools in Legazpi City in Albay province were locked down after employees tested positive for Covid19.
The Legazpi City Interagency Task Force on the Emerging Infectious Disease announced that it temporarily closed the Legazpi City Science High School, Bitano Elementary School in Barangay Bitano and other government offices after six employees tested positive for Covid19.
Mayor Noel Rosal, IATF city chairman, said that the lockdown of these offices and schools would give enough time for the disinfection of buildings and the completion of the contact tracing and testing.
The lockdown will be lifted once the contact tracing and testing are completed.
Earlier, the local IATF also ordered the temporary closure of the Regional Trial Court branches 2 and 7 and the Bureau of the Treasury office.
