18 DRUG SURRENDEREES FINISH REHAB PROGRAM
A TOTAL of 18 young drug surrenderees from Barangay Agapito Del Rosario in Angeles City, Pampanga have graduated from the city’s rehabilitation program.
The City Information Office said that the program is part of the Anti-Drug Abuse Council’s community-based program. It is designed to protect the youth from illegal drugs.
The CIO said that the city council is working closely with the Angeles City Police Office in forming support groups, seminars, counseling and outreach programs to prevent former drug users from relapsing.
The city council also provides livelihood and employment support to graduates of the program.
According to ACADAC Chief Ricky Saul, the success rate of the program is at 80 percent.
