ZAMBOANGA del Sur 1st District Representative Divina Grace Yu has filed a measure seeking to convert the Zamboanga del Sur School of Arts and Trades into Zamboanga del Sur Polytechnic State College.

In House Bill 10619, Yu stressed that converting ZSSAT into a polytechnic state college will make the province home to an educational institution that will be vital in the development and strengthening of the industry.

The ZSSAT is a public school of arts and trades with approximately a land area of five hectares in Barangay Kawit, Pagadian City that helps train students.

Yu said that the conversion of ZSSAT into a Polytechnic State College will widen its curriculum and address the needs of the growing student population in the province.

“Providing access to quality and affordable education has always been a principal objective of the government together will the aspiration of attaining its sustainable existence,” the lawmaker added.
