EDUCATION Secretary Sara Duterte-Carpio distributed school supplies when she visited the Caticlan Elementary School in Malay, Aklan.

Through her PagbaBAGo campaign, 350 students from Grade 1 to Grade 3 received bags containing school supplies and dental kits.

She socialized with students and teachers and called on parents to be responsible and help prepare for their child’s future.

Duterte-Carpio emphasized the importance of education.

“Importante po ang edukasyon at importante na ang ating mga anak ay makapag-aral at makakuha ng maayos na edukasyon,” she said during the 23rd Banigan Festival Opening Program at the Libertad Municipal Plaza in Antique.

She urged parents to “keep your children and youth in school or learning technical skills no matter the challenges.”
