VICE President and Education Secretary Sara Duterte-Carpio told the 2023 Bar Examination passers on Wednesday to serve Filipinos with humility and integrity.

“May you serve our fellow Filipinos and the country with humility, integrity, and a commitment to uphold justice, protect rights, and advocate for those who seek the shelter of the law,” she said.
On Tuesday, the Supreme Court announced that 3,812 Bar examinees have passed the Bar examinations out of more than 10,000 takers, or a low 36% passing rate.

The Vice President also congratulated the new lawyers.

“Ang tagumpay na ito ay tagumpay ng inyong pagsisikap, sakripisyo, at katatagan sa harap ng paghihirap at mga pagsubok,” she said.

“Let us work together to build a society that embraces diversity, fairness, justice, and inclusivity,” she added.

Duterte-Carpio is also a lawyer. She passed the Philippine Bar in 2005.
