VICE President and Education Secretary Sara Duterte-Carpio has emphasized the importance of the role of the National Youth Commission National Advisory Council.

As the chairman of NYC-NAC, Duterte-Carpio led the meeting with the council on February 15.

“Atin pong kinikilala ang mahalagang papel na ginagampanan ng National Youth Commission kung saan ibibigay ng council ang anumang kinakailangang tulong at suporta,” she said in a post.

The NYC is responsible for policy formulation on, and review of, youth promotion and development programs, the establishment of a consultative mechanism for dialogue with the youth, and linking with government and non-government organizations both at the national and international levels

The Vice President also congratulated the newly elected Sangguniang Kabataan officials and new NYC-NAC representatives.

“Ikinagagalak ko pong malaman na isa sa kanilang tinututukan ang pagkakaroon ng Philippine Youth Development Plan 2023-2028 upang ibalangkas ang mga programa para sa ating mga kabataan,” Duterte-Carpio said.
