TESDA GETS HIGH APPROVAL RATING ANEW
THE TECHNICAL Education and Skills Development Authority again secured the highest approval rating among all government agencies, the third quarter survey of PUBLiCUS Asia revealed.
The 2022 third quarter PAHAYAG survey showed that TESDA ranked first in approval ratings with 68 percent. It was followed by the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the Department of Education with 67 percent and 65 percent approval ratings, respectively.
TESDA also maintained a high trust rating of 56 percent, behind the AFP with 57 percent,.
TESDA Director General Danilo Cruz attributed the agency’s high approval and trust ratings to its continued and improved delivery of skills training and livelihood programs to Filipinos.
“I would like to thank all our kababayans for their continued support of TESDA. Rest assured that Tesda, especially now that it is an attached agency of DOLE, will have more improved programs and services which will help significantly to address the perennial problem of skills-job mismatch,” Cruz said.
The survey was conducted nationwide from September 16-20, 2022 and covered 1,500 respondents.
The agency consistently landed among the most trusted and admired government agencies in Publicus Asia’s quarterly surveys. During the first quarter survey, TESDA got a 65.8 percent approval rating and a 49.9 percent trust rating.
During the second quarter survey, the agency gained a 72 percent approval rating and a 60 percent trust rating.
