TECHNICAL Education and Skills Development Authority Deputy Director General for Partnerships and Linkages Aniceto ‘John’ Bertiz III fully supports Vice President-elect Sara Duterte-Carpio to be the next Department of Education secretary.

Bertiz said Duterte-Carpio will help the country achieve “world-class” quality education.

“Our country greatly needs a new generation of patriotic Filipinos who promote peace and discipline in their communities, which is why we need VP Sara to help us achieve that goal by providing them accessible and world-class quality education,” he said.

“I strongly believe and support that Mayor Sara Duterte is well-suited for the position, as a mother who wanted her children to be ‘well-educated, well-disciplined, well-mannered, and well-trained,” he added.

Bertiz said that Duterte-Carpio’s hard work and commitment to service will aid in improving the Philippines’ trifocal education system’s joint efforts.

“We expect under Vice President Duterte that DepEd will engage in more active dialogues with officials from the Tesda and the Commission on Higher Education to further identify issues and streamline programs related to improving the state of Philippine education,” Bertiz said.
