SOLON REPORTS COMMITTEE ACHIEVEMENTS IN ENSURING QUALITY EDUCATION
HOUSE Committee on Higher and Technical Education chairman, Baguio Rep. Mark Go, expressed gratitude to supporters for their role in advancing measures for quality education.
In 2024, the committee tackled 289 bills and seven resolutions, with 16 bills approved on third reading and sent to the Senate. Two bills were enacted into law, with Go as principal author and sponsor:
Republic Act No. 12063 or the Enterprise-Based Education and Training (EBET) Framework Act, linking education with employment opportunities.
Republic Act No. 12077 or the Student Loan Payment Moratorium Act, providing financial relief to students and graduates.
Additionally, the Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP) has been approved by Congress and awaits the President’s signature. Go is also the principal author of House Concurrent Resolution No. 28, advocating for the creation of a Cabinet Cluster for Education.
“These milestones are proof of what we can achieve through collaboration. Sa lahat ng tumulong, sumuporta, at nagtiwala— mabuhay po kayo! Sama-sama nating ipagpatuloy ang pagsulong para sa dekalidad, abot-kaya, at inklusibong edukasyon para sa bawat Pilipino,” Go said.
