THE SANGGUNIANG Kabataan will be mobilized to help in the country’s national vaccination drive against Covid19 from November 29 to December 1, according to the Department of the Interior and Local Government.

DILG Undersecretary Jonathan Malaya said the agency is coming up with a memorandum circular in a few days compelling all local government units to ensure the ample number of personnel and vaccination sites in their respective turfs.

Malaya said the circular assures the LGUs will be compliant in their daily vaccination targets while ensuring their logistical needs in the inoculation process are met.

“‘Yun pong mga miyembro ng SK ay gagamitin natin bilang encoders and we will coordinate closely with the LGUs para ang mga SK ay ma-mobilize natin para sa Bayanihan Bakunahan,” he said.

Aside from the SK officials, Malaya bared the DILG will also tap the services of the Department of Education teachers to become encoders.

“Mayroon din po tayong mga additional encoders mula sa DOLE sa kanilang government internship program,” he added.
