EDUCATION Secretary Leonor Briones said that only teachers who have been vaccinated against Covid19 will be allowed to participate in face-to-face classes.

However, students are not required to get jabs to be able to join physical classes.

“As I said, relatively mas na-e-expose sila kaysa ating mga bata. ‘Yung ating mga bata mataas ang kanilng resistensiya sa iba’t ibang klase ng Covid19 [variants],” Briones said.

She said that schools located in areas under Alert Level 1 should allow their employees to work on full capacity.

“Depende ‘yan sa classification ng isang rehiyon o isang lugar, may desisyon ang IATF, may desisyon din ang executive secretary na i-require ang lahat ng mga empleyado na mag-report 100 percent,” she said.

Briones said that working onsite has an impact on the volume of work and delivery of services.
