MORE THAN HALF OF DEPED PERSONNEL VACCINATED VS COVID
MORE than half of all personnel of the Department of Education have been vaccinated against Covid19, Education Secretary Leonor Magtolis Briones said.
She said that 588,561 or 56.73 percent of teaching and non-teaching personnel have either got their first dose or are fully vaccinated.
“I am very pleased to announce that more than half of the workforce of the Department of Education got their Covid19 vaccine,” Briones said.
“It goes to show that majority of us want to have a safer School Year 2021-2022, especially that we are about to start the limited face-to-face classes,” she added.
Meanwhile, around 400,000 DepEd personnel are either enrolled with their local government units and awaiting their vaccination schedule or are still indecisive about vaccination for personal reasons.
Education Undersecretary Alain Pascua encouraged their personnel to get vaccinated.
“It is part of our shared responsibility to make sure that our family, friends, learners, and communities are safe,” he said.
