LAWMAKER: PROBE SELLING OF DEPED LAPTOPS
KABATAAN Party-list Representative Raoul Manuel sought an inquiry into the alleged selling of laptops purchased by the Department of Education for teachers.
KABATAAN Party-list Representative Raoul Manuel sought an inquiry into the alleged selling of laptops purchased by the Department of Education for teachers.
Manuel said there are reports that the laptops were sold in stores in Cebu and Rizal instead of being distributed to teachers.
“This is another scandal concerning procurement and delivery of laptops to basic education institutions. DepEd has not yet responded substantially on this issue,” he said.
The lawmaker said that people behind the laptop sale should be held accountable.
