TO ENHANCE the skills of government employees, Bicol Saro Party-list Representative Brian Raymund Yamsuan filed a measure that will grant free tuition to public sector workers enrolled in Graduate Education Master’s Program in State Universities and Colleges.

Yamsuan said House Bill 8834 seeks to provide government employees access to higher studies through the institutionalization of a free graduate education program for them.

“The proposed Free Master’s Degree Tuition for Government Employees Act recognizes the need to enhance the skills of our government employees and foster professional growth by providing them access to higher degrees of learning,” he said.

By promoting career advancement and fostering a culture of lifelong learning within the civil service, he said the measure guarantees a higher standard of service to the people.

It also facilitates the holistic development of civil service personnel, enabling them to address the dynamic challenges faced by the public sector and the Philippines as a nation.

“Apart from improving the quality of public service, we owe it to our government employees to assure them that as they tirelessly and generously provide their services and expertise on the one hand, the government backs their goals for career growth and professional development on the other,” Yamsuan said.
