EDUCATION MUST NEVER STOP DESPITE CRISIS — BRIONES
EDUCATION Secretary Leonor Briones said that education must continue despite the challenges and obstacles the country has to face.
EDUCATION Secretary Leonor Briones said that education must continue despite the challenges and obstacles the country has to face.
“It was very challenging, but it’s not for us to complain because our country has survived so many challenges, so many crisis. Education must continue. Education must never stop,” she said.
The Department of Education hopes to expand its program allowing face-to-face classes.
The pilot program that started in November is under review. The Education department will submit its assessment to President Rodrigo Duterte.
Meanwhile, Briones said that teachers should teach students to adapt with the changes.
“The capacity, the strength, the courage, the fearlessness to accept that change is happening. And you can respond by face-to-face [classes], you can respond by ICT (information and communications technologies), you can respond by other ways of communication,” the secretary said.
