THE DEPARTMENT of Education will review the K to 12 program after one of its objectives was not met.
DepEd spokesperson Atty. Michael Poa said the program was supposed to make senior high school graduates employable.
“Ang direksiyon po kasi natin sa senior high school is not itutuloy or hindi itutuloy,” he said.
“Because ‘yung promise po ng K to 12 is that when our learners graduate after Grade 12, they are employable, pero hindi po nangyayari iyan sa ngayon.”
DepEd will begin reviewing the Grade 11 and 12 curriculum in November, while the review of Kindergarten to Grade 10 curriculum had been completed.
Earlier, Vice President and Education Secretary Sara Duterte-Carpion said President Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr. ordered to review and assess the K to 12 program.
