THE DEPARTMENT of Education is considering making blended learning a permanent mode of instruction in basic education, Vice President and Education Secretary Sara Duterte-Carpio said.

“As part of the transition to in-person classes, blended learning shall still be implemented and we are continuing to study the implementation of blended learning as a permanent mode of instruction for basic education,” she said.

“However, come November 2, the full implementation of five days in-person classes is expected as well for all public and private schools,” she added.

Classes in public schools will start on Monday, August 22.

The first two weeks of classes will focus on psychosocial activities, DepEd said.

If a student tests positive for Covid19, blended learning shall be implemented.
