THE DEPARTMENT of Education, including some of its regional and schools divisions, has been recommended for ISO certification.
The DepEd central office, CALABARZON Regional Office, Schools Division Office of Biñan, Biñan Elementary School and Biñan Integrated High School were recommended for ISO 9001:2015 Certification for Quality Management Systems after the audit conducted by TÜV NORD Philippines, Inc.
The certifying body found DepEd compliant with all the requirements.
The TÜV Nord Philippines, Inc, one of the world’s largest Inspection, Certification & Testing organizations, found zero non-conformity during the audit.
“This marks a historical milestone in ensuring the consistent delivery of quality service and fostering continuous improvement to sustain our goal to serve our Filipino learners,” Education Secretary Leonor Briones said.
“I believe that with this consistent effort of the agency, we are moving into what we call growth mindset,” OIC-Undersecretary for Human Resource and Development Wilfredo Cabral said.
Cabral added that DepEd took note of the comments and opportunities for improvement identified by the auditors.
“We can tap on what we are doing good and look at the different aspects of improvements so that we can realize what we really want to happen for the Department,” he said.
