ARMY HOLDS SURVIVAL TRAINING FOR STUDENTS
THE PHILIPPINE Army’s 84th Infantry “Victorious” Battalion facilitated the holding of basic life support and basic survival skills training for students of the Minuli Elementary School and Bunga Integrated Elementary School last November 18-19, 2022.
The training aimed to equip the students with proper knowledge and skills that can be used during emergencies.
The students learned basic first aid techniques, knot tying, lashing and survival skills.
Major General Andrew D. Costelo, 7ID Commander, said that the training is essential in imparting basic knowledge on survival and first-aid.
“Those basic knowledge when properly nurtured and reinforced can be a powerful tool that can save lives during disaster or when emergency occurs,” he said.
The principal of Bunga Integrated Elementary School thanked the military officials for helping train their students.
“Nagpapasalamat kami sa inisyatiba ng Charlie Company, 84IB sa pagtuturo sa aming mga mag aaral, malaking tulong ito para sa kanila lalo na sa kanilang murang edad ay matutunan nila ang mahahalagang bagay katulad nito,” Editha T. Parado, School Principal 1, said.
Lieutenant Colonel Enrico Gil Ileto pledged to continue supporting such training lectures to arm students with the knowledge to take action when an emergency occurs.
