THE DEPARTMENT of Education reported that as of Thursday, September 9, 2021, 21,034,472 students have enrolled for School Year 2021-2022.

Of this number, 15,320,766 enrolled in public schools, 1,132,632 in private schools, and 23,747 in state and local universities and colleges.

The department said 4,557,327 students enlisted during the early registration.

It said that 184,382 enrolled in the Alternative Learning System.

Education Undersecretary Nepomuceno Malaluan urged the students to enroll and not wait for the last day of enrollment.

“The regular enrollment period is up to September 13, on [the] first day of classes. No announcement yet as to late enrollment,” he said.
