TWO public schools in Quezon City are all set to hold limited face-to-face classes.
City Mayor Joy Belmonte made the announcement as the Department of Education has allowed 28 schools in the National Capital Region to hold physical classes beginning on December 6.
The two Quezon City schools are Bagong Silangan Elementary School and Payatas B Annex Elementary School in Barangays Bagong Silangan and Payatas respectively, which start their in-person classes on Monday.
“We are happy that two of our public schools will have pilot face-to-face classes,” said Belmonte.
“We assure parents that their children, and also the teachers, will be safe in their return,” she added.
Earlier, Belmonte and her team inspected both Quezon City public schools to ensure that health and safety protocols are followed.
Meanwhile, Belmonte vowed to support schools which will be needing retrofitting to comply to protocol standards.
The local government unit will also give out hygiene kits and school supplies to students, according to Belmonte.
