120,863 PASS OCTOBER 2022 LICENSURE EXAM FOR TEACHERS

THE PROFESSIONAL Regulation Commission announced 49,783 elementary teachers and 71,080 secondary teachers passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers held two months ago in 35 testing centers across the country.

PRC said 91,468 elementary teachers took the exam, but only 49,783 made it or a passing mark of 50.43 percent.

A total of 29,183 of those who passed were first timers, while 20,600 were repeaters.

Meanwhile, 139,534 secondary teachers took the exam, but only 71,080 or 50.94 percent passed.

Of those who passed, 50,549 were first timers and 20,531 repeaters.

The exam was given by four members of the Board for Professional Teachers, including chairman Dr. Rosita Navarro.

Baby Patricia Tabamo Bensi and Ma. Catherine Cauba, both from Cebu Normal University, led the successful examinees for elementary level with a score of 94.60 percent.

PRC declared Philippine Normal University as the top performing school with 78 out of 82 passers or a 95.12 percent overall passing rate.

In secondary level, University of the Philippines Los Baños and UP Visayas were the best performing school, with a success rate of 100 percent.
Jessireee Flores Pantilgan of University of Mindanao Panabo achieved the highest score for secondary level with 94.60 percent.
