THE BBM-Sara UniTeam sought the immediate establishment of a ‘text helpline’ for street children to rescue and keep them off the streets.

The UniTeam said that homeless children are vulnerable to Covid19.

Presidential aspirant Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos, Jr. said that it is important to rescue the street kids immediately because they are the ones who are more susceptible to the disease.

“Nitong nakalipas na Pasko, kapansin-pansin ang pagdami ng mga kababayan nating namamalimos sa kalsada. Talagang nakapag-aalala dahil mabilis ang pagtaas ng bilang ng Covid cases natin. Lalo akong nag-aalala dahil mas ‘vulnerable’ ang mga kabataan nating pagala-gala sa kalsada kaya dapat ay mailigtas agad natin sila,” Marcos said.

Health experts said that young children could be more susceptible to contracting the infection.
