THE VISAYAS State University said that it was ranked the 32nd top public university in the country by international university and college tracker uniRank.

“They base this on valid, unbiased, and non-influenceable web metrics provided by independent web intelligence sources rather than data submitted by the universities themselves,” VSU said.

The ranking aims to “present a non-academic League Table of the top Philippine Universities,” it said.

UniRank ranks all higher educational institutions in the world based on their web presence and popularity in terms of online traffic, trust, authority and quality link popularity.

In the Philippines, the ranking site keeps track and assesses only universities which are chartered, licensed, or accredited by the appropriate Philippine higher education-related organization; offer at least four-year undergraduate or postgraduate degrees; and deliver courses primarily in a traditional, face-to-face, and non-distance education format.

uniRANK also uses web metrics from four different web intelligence sources like Moz Domain Authority, Alexa Global Rank, SimilarWeb Global Rank, Majestic Referring Domains and Majestic Trust Flow for its rankings.
