THE PRESIDENT of the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines, Dr. Ambrosio Cultura II, was elected as chairman of a consortium of educational institutions in Mindanao.

Cultura was elected on February 26 during the 1st Quarter Meeting of the Northern Mindanao Consortium for Industry, Energy, and Emerging Technologies Research and Development.

NorMinCIEERD is composed of Higher Education Institutions, government agencies, and private companies in the field of industry, energy, and emerging technology.

Its primary function is to strengthen ties between institutions that are engaged in the said fields.

Members of the USTP community congratulated Cultura for his new achievement.

Meanwhile, the USTP partnered with the Department of Science and Technology on a virtual presentation dubbed as “DOST Balik Scientist Program.”
