USTP DISTRIBUTES TABLETS TO STUDENTS

/ 20 February 2021

THE UNIVERSITY of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines on Friday handed out 100 tablets to its students to help them cope with distance learning.

The university identified the students who needed the gadgets in an online survey.

“Due to the challenges brought by the pandemic, the University reached out to the students and conducted an online survey to assess their needs when it comes to the availability of gadgets. Those who needed the gadgets were identified after thorough evaluation and review,” USTP said.

“For students who did not manage to receive a tablet, they were provided with load assistance which is also essential for communication and online classes,” it added.

The 100 tablets were distributed to students from the College of Engineering and Architecture, College of Information Technology and Computing, College of Technology, College of Science and Technology Education, College of Sciences and Mathematics, and those in Senior High School.

The university appealed to the students to take care of the gadgets.
