THE UNIVERSIDAD de Sta. Isabel urged its constituents to back the call to name a ‘competent’ secretary of the Department of Education.

The call is in support to the united stand of the Catholic Educational Association of Caceres and Libmanan seeking an apolitical and academically-qualified DepEd secretary.

The association said that it deplores historical distortion, disinformation and governance that tramples upon the education sector.

The group issued the call following the appointment of Vice President-elect Sara Duterte-Carpio as Education secretary.

The USI encouraged its community to cascade the call on social media.
