UPD TEAM WINS GOLD AT 2024 IIBD INT’L CASE COMPETITION
THE UP Diliman Cesar E.A. Virata School of Business has won the gold prize at the 2024 Wing Lung Bank International Institute for Business Development International Case Competition.
This prestigious achievement was secured by a team of BS in Business Administration and Accountancy students from VSB, including Chelsea Denise T. Cregencia, Karla S. Lorena, Ma. Angelica Grace L. Rapal, and Aleisha Hailey O. Uy.
The VSB team’s winning presentation focused on a fresh produce company, emphasizing sustainable farming practices and financial viability, according to a post on the VSB Facebook page.
Lorena was additionally recognized as Best Presenter of the competition, showcasing her exceptional presentation skills in the international arena.
The team was coached by Mikhael Anjelu Magana, assistant professor at the VSB and director of the undergraduate programs.
This year’s competition was jointly hosted by Windesheim University of Applied Sciences and Hong Kong Baptist University, with the theme “Water for the World.” It was held on November 7 at Zwolle, the Netherlands.
Established in 2008 by the HKBU School of Business, the IIBD International Case Competition offers students a platform to apply knowledge and creativity to real-life business issues while networking with other teams and industry professionals.
Founded in 1993, HKBU’s Wing Lung Bank IIBD connects 18 global member universities from countries such as the Philippines, USA, UK, and Australia, to foster international business education through collaborative initiatives.
