UP STUDENTS TURN OVER P100K DONATION TO PGH
THE OFFICE of the Student Regent of the University of the Philippines turned over P136,684.27 in donation and various in-kind aid to the Philippine General Hospital which was recently hit by fire.
PGH Director Dr. Gerardo Legaspi and Deputy Director for Fiscal Services Dr. Marge Lat-Luna received the donations.
“With the formal turnover, the quick response efforts of the UP-OSR comes to a close. Even so, we will continue to provide in-kind donations in coordination with Tulong Kabataan, UP Manila All Workers’ Union, and the UPM University Student Council until aid supplies have been exhausted,” UP-OSR said.
However, the group said anyone can still donate to the hospital “for aid and compensation necessary for the damages incurred in the fire.”
On Sunday, a fire broke out on the third floor of the main PGH building, forcing hospital personnel to transfer some patients to other hospitals.
