UP LAW STUDENTS BAG OXFORD MOOT COURT CHAMPIONSHIP
The UP Law Price Moot Court Team was composed of Trishia Gail Fernandez, Jasmin Althea Siscar, Esabelle Gillian Catameo, Bryan Thomas Santamaria, Ma. Beynouna Meg Arbo, Celine Mae Dael, Trishia Fernandez, and Bryan Santamaria.
The UP Law Price Moot Court Team was composed of Trishia Gail Fernandez, Jasmin Althea Siscar, Esabelle Gillian Catameo, Bryan Thomas Santamaria, Ma. Beynouna Meg Arbo, Celine Mae Dael, Trishia Fernandez, and Bryan Santamaria.
The group competed against City, University of London during the final rounds and was declared champions with a unanimous vote from the judges.
They were mentored by Professor Michael Tiu Jr. as coach, and Professor Rommel Casis, who served as faculty adviser.
“Representing the Asia-Pacific Region, the team garnered an impressive winning streak, dominating all three preliminary rounds,” UP Law said on its Facebook page.
“The team showcased exceptional skills and knowledge, securing UP Law’s third championship title in this competition,” it added.
Meanwhile, Santamaria was awarded the Best Oralist Award in the Final Rounds.
Hosted by Oxford University, the Price Media Law Moot Court Competition challenges students to engage in comparative research of legal standards at the national, regional, and international levels and to develop their arguments on cutting-edge questions in media and ICT law.
A total of 85 teams from Africa, Central Eastern Europe, Asia Pacific, South Asia, Northern Europe, Americas, and the Middle East participated in the competition this year.
