UNIVERSITY OF CEBU NURSING STUDENT GETS SCHOLARSHIP FOR HELPING VENDOR
A STUDENT of the University of Cebu who helped an injured vendor was given a scholarship and free board exam review.
Second-year nursing student Angyl Faith Ababat went viral online after she administered first aid to a vendor who was slashed in the throat by her live-in partner in Cebu City.
Reports from The Freeman and Sunstar Cebu said that UC College of Nursing Dean Mercy Milagros Apuhin met Ababat to inform her of her reward.
Meanwhile, Kristianne Joice Noelle Ona, who also helped the victim, was also endorsed to the office of UC President Augusto Go to receive the same rewards.
The university will also put Ababat into its marketing poster for the month of February.
“Good job Angyl, you serve as [a] good example of a true UCnian that cares. You’re a real ‘HERO’.” UC said.
