UE DENTISTRY STUDENTS ATTEND LIMITED PHYSICAL CLASSES
AFTER nearly two years of remote learning, dentistry students at the University of the East attended limited face-to-face classes this week.
The university received a Certificate of Authority from the Commission on Higher Education to resume physical classes for its Dentistry program.
UE President Ester Garcia earlier said that the school is considering holding limited in-person classes for all degree programs in the first quarter of 2022.
Garcia said officials of the Coordinating Council on Higher Education met with officials from CHED, the Inter-Agency Task Force Against Covid19, and the Department of Health to discuss the matter.
Last week, the IATF allowed universities and colleges to resume onsite learning in areas below Alert Level 3.
However, classrooms are limited to 50 percent capacity.
