TAIWAN-PH STARTUP EXCHANGE PROGRAM, KICKS-OFF THIS MONTH
TAIWANESE startup leaders visited the Philippines as part of the three-day Taiwan-Philippines Startup Exchange Program.
The program was co-organized by the Ateneo Intellectual Property Office and QBO Innovation Hub, with support from CrossBond and Startup Terrace.
“The visiting startups included ChiaTang Info. Co, Ltd., Turing Chain, ChoozMo, Zignet, and Crypto-Arsenal. These startups are involved in Information-Communication Technologies, AI, web3, and blockchain,” Ateneo said.
Delegates toured Accenture’s Philippine Hub for Innovation with Mr. Arvin Yason, exploring advanced tech like VR/XR, blockchain, IoT, space tech, and quantum computing, ending with a generative AI presentation.
They also visited Ateneo de Manila University for a Sustainability Walk and a program on the Philippine business environment with speakers from IPOPHL and Quezon City LGU.
Some experts discussed opportunities for Taiwanese startups in the Philippines. Startups then pitched to a panel of judges.
Meanwhile, delegates met Ambassador Wallace Minn-Gan Chow at the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in the Philippines to discuss market opportunities for startups.
