The University of the Philippines Association of Chemistry Majors and Enthusiasts will hold an online scientific writing symposium and competition.

It is open to all junior high and senior high school students, as well as out-of-school youth ages 13-19 years old nationwide.

The “7th HSM: Hanep sa Science at Math” will be held on May 22 via Zoom & Facebook Live.

UP ACME hopes that the event will serve as a way to encourage the youth towards academic competence, engender the youth’s passion for sciences, and motivate them to become future contributing members of the scientific community.

The event aims to promote the appreciation of natural sciences among the youth, enhance their scientific writing skills, establish the importance of effective communication of scientific information and advocate for scientific practice in the Philippines.

The group targets over 180 participants from all over the country.
