SC STENOGRAPHERS PARTNER WITH PUP FOR SKILLS TRAINING, RESEARCH
THE COURT Stenographers Association of the Philippines (COSTRAPHIL) has partnered with the Polytechnic University of the Philippines to enhance stenography education and training.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed earlier this month at the Supreme Court – 2nd Division Conference Room.
The partnership includes professional and academic exchange programs, joint research and conferences, and the sharing of educational materials between PUP and COSTRAPHIL.
A key initiative is the “Forging Judicious Skills for Court Stenographers in the Philippines” training program, which will offer specialized courses in Stenography, Machine Stenography, and Document Processing.
Dr. Anna Ruby P. Gapasin, PUP’s Vice President for Research, Extension, and Development, and Mr. Cesar C. Saloma, COSTRAPHIL’s National President, led the signing of the MOU.
Dr. Gapasin emphasized PUP’s commitment to professional development, stating that the partnership aims to improve the skills of court stenographers and strengthen the judicial system.
Saloma highlighted the importance of raising stenography standards in the Philippines to ensure that court stenographers are equipped with the necessary skills to excel.
The agreement will last five years, with the possibility of extension, paving the way for significant advancements in the field of stenography.
