SAN PEDRO COLLEGE LAUNCHES FIRST ANIMAL LAB IN MINDANAO
THE SAN PEDRO College in Davao City has launched its Animal Laboratory and Research Hub, the first in Mindanao.
The school said that the facility will provide “scientific learning and a working environment that adheres to quality standards.”
It aims to develop and sustain partnerships in research with other institutions.
The lab will also be used in the genetic modification for animal models, among others, it said on Facebook.
“The hub will be an avenue to conduct meaningful and quality measures in facilitating research, specifically in the bioassay, that will breed and utilize pure lab bred genetically modified animal models and plant extraction, drug discovery, and product formulation that will utilize the first ETHOS Solventless Microwave-Assisted Extraction in the Philippines-academe base,” the school said.
The launching ceremony held on May 13, 2021 was attended by school officials and SPC Management Committee members.
